Joseph Blain Inc.'s primary mission is to provide business solutions to all our clients who are active in culturally and linguistically diverse markets.
With the use of two official languages in Canada and the expansion of exchange activities well beyond our borders, we seek to ensure clarity and accuracy in communications - to employees, clients, government and non-government representatives.
Our company was founded in 1988, offering freelance translation and interpretation services. At the time, Joseph Blain had just completed his Master's degree and had studied at McGill University, the University of Sherbrooke and the University of Ottawa. During his undergraduate and graduate years, he taught languages, was a teaching assistant, a lecturer and an instructor during summer sessions and for continuing education.
This led Joseph Blain to volunteer as a translator for several schools and organizations.
As the need for translation increased, Mr. Blain found himself more and more involved in this discipline than in teaching. In 1992, the company was registered in Montreal, where Mr. Blain provided legal translation and interpretation services to the Montreal Courthouse, the Superior Court and various labour courts. Since this work involved a great deal of coordination to assign translators and interpreters in increasingly diverse fields, the company was incorporated in 1996, with a team of three regular employees and 12 contract employees. We had a contract for the United Nations Conference on Biodiversity during our first years of service, held in Montreal in 1997.
With a team of nearly 200 language experts, Joseph Blain Inc. can meet all your translation and interpretation needs. Join hundreds of satisfied clients by contacting us today.
